Longevity and wellness are interconnected aspects of living a fulfilling, vibrant, happy and healthy life. The key to life is not just to extend it, but while we are alive to be able to live a healthy, vibrant, fulfilling life where we can be present, active, sharp  and enjoy our time with loved ones for as long as possible. By adopting a holistic approach that balances physical, mental, and emotional health, you can significantly enhance your overall quality of life.

The science is out there: a 2022 study published in PLOS Medicine found that adopting a healthier diet could increase life expectancy by up to 13 years for young adults and 7-10 years for middle-aged individuals.

I have been in the wellness industry for over 10 years and my deepest passion is to teach everyone that by tapping into their inner intuition, by living in sink with nature, by regulating their circadian rhythm and by embodying a healthy lifestyle, they can add many years to their lives , while feeling happy and vibrant along the way. In all these years I have witnessed over again how people who step into their power, gain back their health and manage to live a vibrant life. I teach people that wellness is a journey, not a destination, and my goal is to support anyone in thriving at every step of the way.

As a certified  Holistic Wellness and Nutrition Coach, I combine evidence-based practices with practical strategies to help clients achieve sustainable health outcomes. I love to engage in workshops, personalized coaching, fertility wellness and community initiatives that inspire lasting change.

We will start the workshop at 2:00 PM with a meditation that will ground you and bring you in the present moment. Following the meditation, I will touch on subjects that focus on prevention from a functional medicine point of view, that are key components to a healthier and longer life:                                                

🌱  Nutrition: A balanced diet rich in whole foods, antioxidants, and essential nutrients supports cellular repair, boosts immunity, and reduces the risk of chronic diseases.

🌱  Physical Activity: Regular exercise, tailored to individual needs and capabilities, strengthens the body, improves cardiovascular health, and enhances mental well-being.

🌱  Mental Health: Practices such as mindfulness, meditation, and stress management are crucial for maintaining mental clarity, reducing anxiety, and fostering emotional resilience.

🌱Quality Sleep: Adequate and restorative sleep is essential for recovery, cognitive function, and overall vitality.

🌱 Preventative Care: Routine health screenings and proactive measures help detect and mitigate potential health risks early.

We will divide the above subjects into 2 parts with a 1/2 hour tea break in between where we can mingle and get to meet the community.

Robert Watson, MD, a retired board-certified surgeon and now a dedicated Functional Medicine practitioner, has always had a passion for health and wellness. For the length of his career, he has studied and practiced an approach to optimal health and longevity that avoids the need for medications. He believes that each individual in his care should be treated as a whole person, and not just a collection of symptoms. To that end, he prides himself on delivering top-quality medical services to men and women in the Northern Nevada area.

Dr Watson will talk about the importance of prevention for health and longevity from a functional medicine point of view.

Roseanna has been in the health field for over 40 years. Her desire to care for others and their well being, has been her main focus, her entire life. Her passion for health and wellness and her own cancer diagnosis, have led her personally down a path of true wellness and to a career as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. With a firm belief in the importance of diet and nutrition, as related to health and wellness, she is excited to share her education and experience with those who are in need of a positive lifestyle change and vibrant future.
